concorsiarchibo.eu is an intuitive and essential tool that organize competitions in the field of architecture. A service is in fact a tool in its core: it must perform a function in the clearest and simplest way possible.
For this reason, the brand proposal developed does not focus on one (or more) architectural elements, but on a tool of the field: a folding meterstick.
The typography is inscribed in the modules of the meter, which measure and reason the space, so that the reading and the memorization of the long name are facilitated. The last block, dedicated to the top-level domain (the final part of the web address) of the platform, plays with the "point" by positioning it similarly to the opening pins.
The system underlines its structural modularity when the logo is presented in its celebratory version: the insertion of a new block with the wording dedicated to the 10th anniversary, is an operation that recalls both the concept of growth and of conquest.
The trademark can develop both vertically and horizontally. In both alignments, the strips are represented in the opening phase, when folded over each other they turn to the aligned and extended position: therefore, at the beginning of working, at the very start of the design phase.
For this logo, the main color was chosen for being the color of “Architetti Bologna”, marking a clear connection between the two realities. The second shade of brown, on the other hand, is the one already used on the project online platform.
The strip dedicated to the 10th anniversary has a yellow color, which reconnects the brand to the more classic color of the folding meters and makes the celebratory occasion stand out strongly.
